J. Trevor Hughes is an attorney specializing in ecommerce, privacy and technology law. A native of Canada, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law.
Trevor has provided testimony before the US House Energy and Commerce Committee, the Senate Commerce Committee, the Federal Trade Commission, and the EU Parliament on issues of privacy, spam and privacy-sensitive technologies. He is a member of the first class of Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPP) and is currently working with co-author Reed Freeman on "Consumer Privacy Law", to be published by CCH.
Prior to entering private practice, Trevor served as director of privacy and corporate counsel for Engage, a leading online media and software company. Before that, he worked as corporate counsel for UnumProvident, where he focused on legal issues associated with advertising and online insurance transactions.
Trevor has lectured on privacy and ecommerce law at Boston College Law School, the University of Maine School of Law and Northeastern University. He is also a frequent speaker on these issues at conferences around the world. He has been featured on National Public Radio's "Morning Edition", the PBS "Nightly Business Report", BBC Radio, and in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, PC World, Washington Post, Boston Globe, and Business Week.
Trevor also has significant experience as a media official at the 1994 World Cup, 1996 Olympics and the 1999 Women's World Cup.

Jim serves as the assistant director within the Digital Policy Group, which manages the Digital Policy Forum (DPF), the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), and the Email Sender & Provider Coalition (ESPC). His work focuses on sales, marketing and member services.
Jim received his B.A. in English from The College of the Holy Cross and M.A. in Advertising from the University of Illinois.
He is a veteran marketing professional with unique depth of experience in email and online marketing. Jim joined the Digital Policy Group after serving as vice president of marketing for email service provider TargitInteractive and later serving as the email marketing manager for Expedia's TripAdvisor.com travel search site.
He began his career buying and managing media sponsorships for Anhueser-Busch and Busch Media Group. He later entered the emerging online marketing field with then Monster.com parent TMP Worldwide.
Justin B. Weiss, JD

Justin serves as associate counsel within the Digital Policy Group, which manages the Digital Policy Forum (the DPF), the Network Advertising Initiative (the NAI) and the Email Sender & Provider Coalition (the ESPC). His work focuses on domestic and international ecommerce, privacy and technology law.
Justin received his B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science and an M.A. in French language from Middlebury College. After his two-year service as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea, West Africa, Justin went on to work as an international communications and relations manager for the 2002 and 2006 Olympic Winter Games Organizing Committees of Salt Lake City, Utah and Torino, Italy, respectively.
He later graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in August of 2006, earning the February 2007 Kenneth R. Clegg Award which is given to the individual who achieves the highest combined score on the Maine bar examination in his or her first attempt at passing a bar exam. Justin is also a fluent speaker of both French and Italian.
