Our Mission:
As the Internet continues to evolve, the DPF will work towards standards and policies that reward responsible marketing and the responsible use of data and promote the long-term growth and viability of the Internet as a vibrant communications channel.
Towards this end, the DPF's goals are to:
- Share information and build a strategy within the coalition to ensure a cohesive and effective response to existing and emerging threats;
- Inform our members about regulatory developments at the federal, state, and international levels;
- Educate policy makers, software developers, and other interested parties about legitimate online data collection practices and responsible online business models;
- Coordinate individual member messages and efforts, and;
- Advocate for public policy that avoids disruption of responsible online business models.
